Update of Sorts
I met with my surgeon today for my pre-op with her. Although 3 weeks away from surgery, this will be the last visit with her until she cuts me open. haha.
Anyway, I am still have some slight doubts about the decisions that I have made.
1. She mentioned again how large my uterus is, and that it appears to be even bigger. She asked me again why I didn't want to go on the drug Lupron and mentioned another drug that I could take that might work in about 2 weeks. Well, I don't really feel like experiencing menopause before my time and I am already emotional as it is, no need to up that!
2. Because of before mentioned GINORMOUS uterus she will have to make a vertical incision from ny naval down to above the pelvic bone. Most people get a tiny bikini line cute, that you can't see once hair grows back. Ya, not me. (Should I be regretting the no Lupron, shit).
3. She is brining in a colleage of hers from Boston that is also a fertility specialist and specializes in fibroids (because my stomach is so huge, jk..well maybe?). This definately made me feel better, but also kind of scared me a little bit. At least I know I will be in good hands.
4. Another good thing is that, her consent form did not include death. It did however include, blood transfusions, hysterectomy and a bunch of other fun stuff. I can't wait to see what the hospital consent forms say...haha
Well, the good thing is, I moved my post op appointment to 3 weeks after surgery in hopes that I will be able to return to work after 4 weeks. She said that the surgery should take about 2.5 hours, disolvable stiches (pretty sweet), and that I would be able to come home after 2 days in the hospital.
Overall an interseting day for me. It definitely made it a lot more real for me. I am definately excited to get it over with:)

Fear of Hospital Stays
A lot of people have strange fears and I definitely have a few myself. Along with surgery comes the fear of pain and the fear of flat lining on the table (yes a legitimate fear of mine and I yes I have watched WAY too many hospital dramas). But I also have a fear of staying in the hospital for a few, well, really good reasons.
1. I have to wear that creepy hospital gown with no butt (fairly obvious).
2. The catheter (enough said).
3. Sleeping in the same room as three random, potentially old and cranky people.
4. Not being able to sleep, staring at the ceiling, while previously mentioned old people are hacking up a lung. OR, being in complete silence with that annoying hospital beep going in the background. What does that beep mean anyway?
5. People coming to visit me, while I look like hell, in my awesome hospital gown.
6. Getting a sponge bath...ewwwwww.
7. No computer, no email and no cell phone (wtf).
8. People constantly asking me on a scale from 1-10 how bad the pain is.
9. Did I mention the catheter??? Oh, ya, getting it taken out. ewwww.
10. ALL THE ABOVE!!!

Car Updated
So I brought my car into the shop again on Friday and it was another sensor. The dude told me that typically the sensor's last until about 150,000 miles. However, my first sensor went a few months ago and he thought it was a fluke, so he didn't replace the other one because of this. So...he replaced my other sensor (no charge for labor yay) and he said that my car is really good shape and should last a long time more. SO..I am going to hold on the new car for two years, only if the damn check engine light doesn't go on again!!

Can you Believe it?
My check engine light is on AGAIN! For those of you keeping track, that's right, it has been on 239402384023840234 times now. I have definitely spent WAY too much trying to fix this car. I am going to bring it in again on Friday, however, I definitely need to start thinking about buying a new car. I really want a 4-wheel drive, but we will see what the funds look like.

I know that many of you say, why keep fixing it? Well, my boyfriend said the same thing and left his check engine light on for like EVER. His car is now located in my driveway, unable to move. The truck started to smoke from the hood and lose control on the road last weekend. SO, any thoughts of me ignoring the issue, have been thought about again, after THAT incident!!

It's Time....
A few months of feeling sorry for yourself can really pack on the pounds. Seriously....So enough is enough. I am at the heaviest I have ever been and not feeling very good about myself. No one else is to blame but myself, but sometimes you just have to get things off your chest so that you can make things happen, ya know?
In other news, I hit up the local Market Basket today and had literally the scariest check out experience of my life. The store was unusually busy, which was totally annoying and I wanted to kill everyone, but the girl that was my cashier was CREEPY. She was literally like talking the entire time she checking me and everyone else out.
She had been telling this same story to the first couple of people that were in front of me and I was half listening, so I knew that I was next. So I was next...no hello, how are you today? Just went right into telling me about how she went to a spa this weekend and how it wasn't relaxing, how her friend got hypnotised and how was was talking Spanish and something about having to ring a bell? Um...SKETCH.
During this story, I turned to look at the woman that was bagging the groceries, she was either not paying attention to the story, had heard it a zillion times, or was so annoyed that she was holding back her anger.
So, I took my things and started to walk off, no goodbye, have a nice day...nothing. She started right in on the old dude behind me. Wonder how he was going to like that story?
