Fun Times at Acapolcos

I am currently writing this blog slightly buzzed....thanks to my sister. Let me tell you how I got to be in this position.

Michelle, Sarah and I decided to hit up Acapolocos for a late lunch on New Years Eve. We figured that we would be eating tons of goodies late in the day so a late lunch would be perfect...with Margaritas of course. We were escorted to our table by a very good looking waiter and we were hoping that he would be the one waiting on us. We unfortunately didn't get him as our waiter, but we did get a young, white chap that appeared to be faking a Mexican accent (and Sarah wanted to tap that;)). So we proceeded to stuff our faces and drink our Margaritas until Michelle noticed an older man sitting in the bar staring at our table.....and then she did the unthinkable.....SHE WAVED AT HIM!! Well, technically he waved at her first, however, this wave was the start of quite the evening.

After she waved she thought the worst was over. Until our faking waiter came back and said, " that man over at the bar wants to buy you another round, is that ok?" Now the pure fact that he had to ask if that was O.K. made us think that this man might be quite the sketch ball. But we didn't know what to say and we all kind of nodded yes.

So we all received our second round and by this time were feeling quite full and actually the second was going to quite difficult. In fact, the second drinks were SO much stronger, that we thought for a minute that he was trying to get us drunk. So he meandered over to our table, in this kind of blurred drunk state, and proceeded to tell Michelle how beautiful she was. We thanked him for the drinks again and wished him a happy New Year. He left and we finished our meal thinking that we would not have to talk to him again.

We finished our meals and started to figure out the bill. This seemed to lure the sketchy man back to the table. He then started to inquire what were doing for the evening. Quick on her toes, Sarah proceeded to lie that were going into Boston and had to make the next train. The man continued to try to talk Michelle out of going and decided to take seat right next to her. Noticing that we might have been in a bit of trouble the hot waiter came over with a phone and attempted to get Fernando (yes, we know his name) away. He tried to make him take the phone by saying that his wife was on it. This ploy however, did not work and he continued to talk about how we should change our plans. Finally he did leave and go back to the bar after offering us another round of drinks which we must have refused at least 10 times. He honestly could not believe that we did not want a third.

So we finally paid and decided to walk by him one last time to say goodbye and thank him. So we stopped and thanked him and wished him happy new year. He then grabbed Michelle's hand and proposed (well...not really) he actually asked her when he would see her again. Not knowing what to say she said Friday at 7:00. Just so you all know ..we won't be back there for quite some time. However, she give him a hug on the way out and actually she also gave his friend (Pablo..jk..we really don't know his name) a hug as well which upset Fernando terribly and made her stop hugging him. I was already half way out of the bar trying to track Sarah who left about 5 minutes before.

So here we are, New Years Eve, stuffed, buzzed and Michelle's engaged to a Mexican named Fernando owner of a cleaning business.

Trouble spending money????

What is wrong with me! Usually I have no trouble spending money at the mall on something completely meaningless and definitely not in my budget. However, yesterday I decided to take a jaunt to the mall with my mother to attempt to spend some of my Christmas money and also some of that extra that I received from work. After wandering the entire mall, I came out with nothing! I know, nothing even caught my eye. Oh well, I am taking this as a good omen and I am going to save up for something that I really need.....like groceries;)~

Happy New Year:)

Dunkin Donuts

I love Dunkin Donuts just as much, if not more, than the average person. AND today, Christmas, just like all other days I wanted that cup of Joe. Well, in Beverly, there were two Dunkin Donuts that were actually open for business. While the lines at both were out of control, the one that we were in was pretty scary! There were people of all kinds there. There was this chick on her cell phone taking to someone about being late to dinner, there was an off duty cop from the neighboring town talking on his phone (he only had one medial so far and his day was not very busy-in case you wanted to know, there were old people and there were young people. One person actually drove ALL the way from Gloucester because this Dunkin Donuts was the closest open one. Now, up until this point I thought that was I pathetic, leaving my house on Christmas in search of an open DD. Well, I was mistaken, there were more desperate people out there than myself. But I suppose if I lived 15 miles away, I would have gone the distance and driven to the Fast Freddies DD in Beverly as well!

Working washer on the side of the road...

I was driving home from my favorite place yesterday (Dunkin' Donuts) and I saw a used washing machine on the side of the road. Now a lot of people out there do like to go from trash heap to trash heap picking the trash- this washer probably would not be an exception for the avid trash picker. Whether this washer was working or not I could completely see someone picking it up taking the off chance that this machine was in good working condition. HOWEVER, on the side of this white washer, in large red writing was written "I WORK" in spray paint. These words took up the entire right side of the washer. I can bet, that this washer, whether working or not was NOT taken based alone on the fact that the entire side had graffiti all over it.
For all of those that are putting things on the side of the road for the passer by to take-you should most definitely put up a sign advertising it's working condition. Don't completely ruin the physical condition of the item by using red spray paint on it. Trust me, a sign next to it will work just as well and might even coax someone to pick it up.

Random Thoughts...

When I started this blog I didn't mean to hurt anyone or for anyone to take my words to heart. I primarily use it as way to express myself and share these feelings with the people around me. I might not always be able to talk to everyone or express my feelings to everyone that I want to and having a way to write it down is very convenient. However, I definitely can see how someone reading these entries out of context would possibly be hurt by the words. I want to apologize if anyone has read anything and felt hurt by what was written; I can tell you right now that it was never intentional. Sometimes the things that I write about could have been on my mind for that minute of that day and could have never showed up on my mind again. Other times I will write about things and not tell the entire story and this could be construed as well.

Basically I just want people to know that I am writing thoughts that are on my mind, they most likely don't mean anything, and most definitely are not meant to hurt anyone.

I will continute to write, but please if anyone has a question is hurt by an entry, PLEASE let me know:)

My hair is SO frizzy right now!

I am sitting on my couch right now and my hair is the frizziest that I have ever seen it-seriously. Now let me bring you on the journey of how I ended up in this state.

As all of you know we had quite the snow storm today. Now, this morning it looked like it was going to be pretty bad, but by noon it appeared that the worst was over. I actually went out at about 12:30 and cleaned off my car and left for lunch. Well...as I pulled into the parking lot at about 1:30 the snow started to fall again! Now...for the next hour and a half it snowed like a bat out of hell. We were actually let out of work at 3 because of this freak snow thunder storm. There was one blast of thunder that actually shook the entire building. I thought it was the end of the world...but...it wasn't, so I will continue with my story.

So, I ran out of the building at 3 thinking that I would be able to jump into my car and slowly drive home. BOY was I mistaken. I cleaned off my car and proceeded to get completely STUCK in the middle of the parking lot. GREAT...so, I pull out my shovel (which my dad MADE me put in my car, I suppose for situations such as this) and attempted to dig my way out of the snow. Well...I did that and I still could not move. Then this girl comes over to me and asks to borrow my shovel. I was like, "why the hell not, not like it is helping me"..Well..that is what I wanted to say. She was nice enough to attempt to help me dig my car out, but it was no help, I was stuck.

I decided to sit in my car and warm up for a few minutes and contemplate this situation. I also took a look in the mirror and realized that I looked like a drowned rat that had been left in the snow for a week. I then made a few calls on my phone and then got out of my car. This big dude that was cleaning off his car for the past 25 minutes decides to walk over and ask, "what seems to be the problem?" I think I looked at him like he had 4 heads and said, "I AM STUCK"-moron. Well...he attempted to get me out of this pickle as well. ALAS, I was out...I was moving...I was stuck! I was now in the line of cars that just got unstuck and that are now stuck behind a car that is stuck trying to get out of the parking lot.

Finally made it out of the parking lot and was on my way. I attempted to get up the large hill that leads out of my work...got stuck...did a three point turn....attempted to go the other way on the street...made it up that hill...and slowly road home. I was on the phone with my sister most of the way as well for moral support....it was definitely needed during that 3 point turn.

It was quite a scenic 1.5 hour ride home for 3 miles. There were many cars on the side of the road, at least 10 sideways cars and I totally missed a turn as a skidded past it. Luckily no one else was on the road at that point....and finally i made it onto my street. Now, I could see the snow in the driveway and I knew this would be a problem...so I went as fast I could and crashed that fucker right into the driveway..I was HOME!

I walked into the house. Now, picture yourself dressed in work clothes, hat, coat and mittens. OK, now picture yourself jumping into the ocean in 30 degree weather and walking into my house-ya, that is what my cat saw walking towards him. Needless to say..he ran and hid..lol.....

Because I was already soaked and wet, I decided to head out and shovel the driveway. Now, I did the end of the driveway and enough for my car to fit....and then the plow went by......fuck that. I am now inside, in my pjs, hair as frizzy as hell and ready to watch some chick flicks. If this is any indication of how the winter is going to go this winter..I am going to invest in a 4 wheel drive vehicle, a heated driveway and some hard core anti-frizz cream ;)~

Back to Blogging....

I was expecting December to fly by, but I wasn't expecting it to fly by so quickly! When did it become December 8th?

Well...so far this month I have been trying to get up the courage to do a few things that need to be done. They have been eating me inside and I just need to get the balls to do them. One has to do with an upcoming wedding that I am suppose to be in..My goal is to have this completed over the weekend. I will keep you all updated;)

Other than that I have been attempting to get in the holiday spirit by decorating for Christmas and trying to get my Christmas shopping at least started. I managed to get the lights up on the outside of my house. I definitely did not have enough to finish it, so right now I have 3/4 of a decorated porch. The wind also did a hell of a job on the garland that was so neatly placed. Oh well, the garland may be coming down this weekend-I think the neighbors are embarrassed by the horrible job that I have done;)

I also put my Christmas tree up this week. It is standing straight this year, which is great, but my cat has decided that taking the ornaments off the tree and scattering them around the house is fun when I am at work. He also decided that dumping all the water onto the carpet is better than drinking the water out of his bowl......The tree is great though. It really gets me in the Christmas Spirit.

Other than that I do want to keep up with my blog more often. I had so many things that I wanted to blog about but did not have the time to write them down. Then when I finally sat down to write, all the stories were either too far in the past or I had forgotten what I was going to write:(

Sooo...you will be hearing from me very soon;)
