Fun Times at Acapolcos

I am currently writing this blog slightly buzzed....thanks to my sister. Let me tell you how I got to be in this position.

Michelle, Sarah and I decided to hit up Acapolocos for a late lunch on New Years Eve. We figured that we would be eating tons of goodies late in the day so a late lunch would be perfect...with Margaritas of course. We were escorted to our table by a very good looking waiter and we were hoping that he would be the one waiting on us. We unfortunately didn't get him as our waiter, but we did get a young, white chap that appeared to be faking a Mexican accent (and Sarah wanted to tap that;)). So we proceeded to stuff our faces and drink our Margaritas until Michelle noticed an older man sitting in the bar staring at our table.....and then she did the unthinkable.....SHE WAVED AT HIM!! Well, technically he waved at her first, however, this wave was the start of quite the evening.

After she waved she thought the worst was over. Until our faking waiter came back and said, " that man over at the bar wants to buy you another round, is that ok?" Now the pure fact that he had to ask if that was O.K. made us think that this man might be quite the sketch ball. But we didn't know what to say and we all kind of nodded yes.

So we all received our second round and by this time were feeling quite full and actually the second was going to quite difficult. In fact, the second drinks were SO much stronger, that we thought for a minute that he was trying to get us drunk. So he meandered over to our table, in this kind of blurred drunk state, and proceeded to tell Michelle how beautiful she was. We thanked him for the drinks again and wished him a happy New Year. He left and we finished our meal thinking that we would not have to talk to him again.

We finished our meals and started to figure out the bill. This seemed to lure the sketchy man back to the table. He then started to inquire what were doing for the evening. Quick on her toes, Sarah proceeded to lie that were going into Boston and had to make the next train. The man continued to try to talk Michelle out of going and decided to take seat right next to her. Noticing that we might have been in a bit of trouble the hot waiter came over with a phone and attempted to get Fernando (yes, we know his name) away. He tried to make him take the phone by saying that his wife was on it. This ploy however, did not work and he continued to talk about how we should change our plans. Finally he did leave and go back to the bar after offering us another round of drinks which we must have refused at least 10 times. He honestly could not believe that we did not want a third.

So we finally paid and decided to walk by him one last time to say goodbye and thank him. So we stopped and thanked him and wished him happy new year. He then grabbed Michelle's hand and proposed (well...not really) he actually asked her when he would see her again. Not knowing what to say she said Friday at 7:00. Just so you all know ..we won't be back there for quite some time. However, she give him a hug on the way out and actually she also gave his friend (Pablo..jk..we really don't know his name) a hug as well which upset Fernando terribly and made her stop hugging him. I was already half way out of the bar trying to track Sarah who left about 5 minutes before.

So here we are, New Years Eve, stuffed, buzzed and Michelle's engaged to a Mexican named Fernando owner of a cleaning business.
